The Government of Haryana recently launched a new and unique family identity card. The chief minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, has launched the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) Identity card. It was officially launched in July in the year 2019.

The government launched the Parivar Pehchan Patra to monitor families living across Haryana and to make paperless and faceless deliveries of all the services and schemes. Every PPP contains a unique identification number which includes 8 digits. It has the name of the head of the family and the mobile number of the family.

The government’s primary aim in creating Parivar Pehchan Patra is to collect and maintain the families’ actual data or details in the government’s database. The difference between an Aadhar card and a Parivar Pehchan patra is that an Aadhar card is an individual identity card.

In contrast, the mera parivar Pehchan patra is a family identity card containing all the family details. The government of Haryana planned to start 500 Parivar Pehchan Patra registration centres to get all the families in Haryana to enroll for the family card as early as possible. Offline Mode:

• Firstly the applicant must get an empty application form for the family identity card. The application will be available at ration shops, tahsildar offices, block development offices, government schools, gas dealer offices, and others.
• Carry all the necessary documents, including the family members’ identity proofs and a mobile number, in perfect working condition. The number must be used only by the family members but not by others. A ration card can also be provided as proof of identity for applying.
• Then, carefully fill in all the necessary columns in the application form and avoid mistakes. It includes the details of all the family members.
• Now attach all the copies of the required documents to the filled application with the required photographs. 
• Now apply along with the documents to the concerned authority.

• Step 1– Visit the Official Website of Haryana Parivar Pehchan Patra, i.e. https://meraparivar.haryana.gov.in/.
• Step 2- At this portal, people can check how to apply online for disability, widow, and old age pension schemes. Accordingly, operators at CSCs can then fill out pension scheme application forms online.

• Step 3- The respective illustrations will update these family identity card scheme forms. After updating, the person will be allowed to take out two print-outs.
• Step 4- You can now login using your username and password.

How To Check Parivar Pehchan Patra’s Status?

Applicants under the Haryana Parivar Pehchan Patra scheme can check the status of their online application through the Saral Service Center website.

However, similar to the Aadhaar card, the Haryana Parivar Pehchan Patra Unique ID card has also been made mandatory by the state government, which will help recognize every family.

How To Update Family Identity Card (PPP)?

Self-updating (automatically updating) of family data in Family Identity Card (PPP) steps are given below.

• To update your family information recorded in PPP, go to http://meraparivar.haryana.gov.in, click “Citizen Corner”, and then “update family details” from the drop-down menu. 

• If you have your 8-digit or 12-digit family ID issued earlier, click “YES”.
• Now you must enter your family id of 8 digits (or 12 digits issued earlier). After entering the family ID, an OTP (one-time password) will be received on the mobile number of the head of the family. This will be the mobile number already stored in the PPP database.

• If you have forgotten your family ID, click on the button “Forgot Family ID” and Verify the OTP by entering the Aadhaar number of the head of the family. Take help of the pictures given below for more information.

• If you have to update the member’s information already included, click on the button of MEMBER DETAILS in front of the member’s name, and if you want to add a new family member, click on the button “Add Member”.
• After this, fill in all the information asked in the member details form, print it, get it signed by the new member, and then take a scan/photo and upload it.
• Submit the form after filling in all the information. On updating the information on the PPP Haryana portal or adding a new member, the information will be sent via SMS to the mobile number of the head of the family.

Who Can Register For The Mera Parivar Pehchan Patra Family Identity Card?

• All the families who are residents of Haryana can apply for the Parivar Pehchan Patra family identity card.
• The people who are not residents of Haryana but if they want to apply for any of the services or the schemes provided by the Government of Haryana should also apply for the Parivar Pehchan Patra family identity card.

Currently, three channels are appointed by the Government of Haryana to get the families enrolled for the Parivar Pehchan Patra. They are

• Village-level authorities govern common service centres.
• Antyodaya Saral kendras that state governments govern.

• The Government of Haryana planned to register at least 54 lakh families under the Parivar Pehchan Patra. More than 45 lakh families have been registered, and more are enrolled.
